Extraction Method
Essential oil by steam disillation from the flouening tops.

Characteristics
A pale yellow or olive mobile liquid with a warm, spicy-herbaceous, minty odour. It ldends well with lavender, lacendin, jasmine eucalyptus, basil and rosemary and is often used in combination with peppermint.

Main Constituents
a-pinene, B-pinene, carvone, 1,8-cineole, linalool, limonene, myrcene, caryophyllene, menthol.

Properties
ant repellent, antiseptic, colic, emollient, hemorrhoids, insecticide, morning sickness, moth repellent, mouse repellent, nervine, parturient, soothing agent, stimulant, stomachaches.

Key Qualities
Refreshing, restorative, nerve tonic, cephalic, aphrodisiac, stimulant (mental).

Blends well with
Blends well with: bergamot, jasmine, lavender, sandalwood
